“It’s a shame things didn’t work out with Misfit and the Underground Alliance. Our intentions of bringing peace through diplomacy and patience didn’t sit well with him. Apparently, unabashed destruction and chaos is more up his alley, even at the expense of his own troops. And yet, it would be wise to keep an eye on him and the rest of The Rejected. He may be crazy, but he’s not stupid.” - Leona Kitcher, Underground Alliance Leader
Card Mechanics
As we move into a new week, we present a new Advent: Misfit, Demolitions Expert. He also possesses a new Resource type: Rage, represented by the color red.
The name of Misfit’s game is wanton annihilation. One of Rage’s strengths is blowing up large areas of the Battleground, meaning that it’s possible for your own units get caught in the blast. However, if Misfit is your Advent, you can turn this into an advantage. Misfit thrives off the sacrifices of his subordinates. His passive ability allows Armada that would be destroyed by your own damage or effects to be sent to the Resource area instead of the Discard pile. So if you end up blowing up one of your own Armada, you get an additional resource!
Misfit’s cost ability synergizes with his passive. You can destroy one of your own Armada to deal damage to your opponent’s Advent equal to the destroyed Armada’s defense. Due to Misfit’s passive ability, the destroyed Armada will be sent to your Resource area! This ability has plenty of uses: You can get rid of one of your Armada in a dangerous spot on the battleground, or perhaps the damage you can deal will finish off an opponent.
As a final note, Misfit weighs in at 21 morale, the highest of any Advent.
Throughout this week, we will be showcasing Rage cards that involve the very type of mass destruction that Misfit can utilize. Stay tuned!
